Our story
Twenty years in L.A. Seventeen more in the valley.
Thatcher Construction Inc. spent its first two decades operating across the Los Angeles area — the kind of market where schedules are tight, inspectors are exacting, and a crew either learns to run a clean job or doesn't last. The company is now based in Ojai, and that experience comes with it.
We've built our livelihoods on remodeling people's homes. From the simple to the lavish, we've experienced it all and we can help you every step of the way. No job is too small or too big for our knowledgeable crews. We've happily done it all for 37 years now.
Jeff Thatcher runs the company and is on site. That matters more than it sounds: when a wall opens up and something unexpected is behind it, the decision gets made that day by someone who can price it, not escalated through an office.

Jeff was a pleasure to work with! I'm an interior designer and he beautifully executed my design of a full remodel in Oak View including a new kitchen with revised layout, 3 updated bathrooms, as well as new floors throughout (which also involved leveling the first floor). He was super communicative and easy to work with from start to finish and the property looks fantastic now! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to remodel or build a new home.
